Located just one mile east of the south entrance to D/FW International
Airport on the south side of Highway 183/West Airport Freeway, this 13-year old
property was purchased in March of 2002 and has since undergone an extensive
renovation.
The renovation resulted in totally refurbished guest rooms featuring advanced
technology and work areas; more than 100,000 square feet of flexible meeting
space incorporating high-speed internet access and state-of-the art audio/visual
equipment; an indoor atrium pool; fitness center; business center; gift shop;
restaurant and bar, as well as a completely renovated and updated lobby.
Known for incorporating art within and around his projects, Craig Hall again
selected contemporary works designed by several prominent Texas artists to
enhance the hotel experience. Highlighting the lobby are two spectacular 20-foot
mobiles suspended inside the five-story atrium. Designed by Duncanville artist
James Crowe and fabricated by Dallas artist David Hickman, “Radwings” are
constructed from fabric, aluminum and steel. Also featured throughout the hotel
are paintings by Dallas artist Susan Lecky and prints by printmaker Juergen
Strunk, an art professor at the University of Dallas.
